Seems like a lot of their kids grow up with a lot of issues. I know I have my own. My friend S has his, too. But my friend, E, has so much anger towards his...he is constantly complaining to me. I guess he holds deep resentment from his childhood. I think he is still mad that he was left behind in the Phillipines for a few years while his parents were living in Canada and then had his little brother. I hope he can get past all that. It seems like he just wants to cut them all off. I am trying hard to get past mine. It's much more healthy to move forward than hold grudges against the past. |

It's good to get over past ill feelings. It frees you to see the good in your parents and others that might have hurt you and, as a result, you are a better person in the future.
