I wanna take those classes! posted by: mblog (reply) post date: 04.29.04 (9:54 pm) Have you ever heard of anybody preventing cancer after finding it in a self exam? It's not an effective way of preventing anything. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 04.30.04 (10:11 am) Reply to: mblog Finding a lump may not prevent cancer, but early detection would be a good thing, I think! posted by: mblog (reply) post date: 04.30.04 (2:15 pm) Reply to: rosietulips Yes, but an insignificant number of cancerous lumps are found that way. You have a much better chance of finding them through mammograms scheduled at the appropriate times. If I thought it would do any good, I'd be the first in line to examine breasts. I'd even examine you for free (but you'd have to pay the airfare at least, and maybe feed me.) But I don't expect it would make any difference. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 04.30.04 (3:46 pm) Reply to: mblog I didn't mean to skip mammograms all together! |
