I dunno... perhaps it's because that's what they see most, on themselves. Women aren't exactly encouraged to have high self esteem... looking down... I dunno. Just so you know though, most guys... although we like to say something, because we know you want us to, and we want to see you smile... we don't notice. Same goes for clothing. You could be wearing a bag... you'd still look good to us, and we wouldn't notice that you were wearing something "new". (Generalizing, of course) ;) posted by: Ryan (reply) post date: 09.29.05 (3:00 pm) Actually, I'd have to disagree. I respect it when a women shows dignity through her clothing and style. I also do tend to take notice when the gf steps out in a new outfit. It's novelty for me as much as it is for her... And hey, no worries Rosie. I have shoes like that too. Too big, but too nice to resist. Could use a sole insert. I think women like to accessorise, and there's just *so* much more variety for us. Some guys notice the way we look while some need more direction like "hey, I got my hair cut. What do you think of it?" I never thought of the shoe thing as related to self-esteem though. That was an interesting thought! I'm trying to hold off on more shoes, though. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 09.29.05 (6:28 pm) Reply to: Ryan Ryan! Looks like someone's moved into your old blog home!! I still hadn't taken down your info :( Are those your shoes?? That's a cool site. When I was in England, I saw pink pointy shoes for men. Think you could pull those off? ;-) posted by: princessapricot (reply) post date: 09.30.05 (7:55 am) I love them! Shoes and handbags sista - those 2 things will ALWAYS love you, no matter how big or little you get :) posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 09.30.05 (12:51 pm) Reply to: princessapricot I am always tempted to buy handbags but I never actually cave in! They're either too big or don't go with a lot of white I have. posted by: princessapricot (reply) post date: 10.02.05 (8:05 am) Reply to: rosietulips Don't go with white?! EVERYTHING goes with white :) That's when you can have fun with color! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 10.03.05 (6:29 am) Reply to: princessapricot Oh man. I meant my handbags don't go with a lot of WHAT I have -- not white!! *L* |
