I just about posted about a story that my friend is going to, but maybe this is just not the arena for it. But it's similar to something that happened to me with him in the past...only I said, "I can't sleep with you. You're married!" But now he has a lot of drama going on. All weekend, Dr. T and I talked *a lot* Maybe things were moving too fast, and I started thinking I wanted to meet up with him sooner than his due date. I'm glad my head got screwed back on. We've been talking for about 10 days total and have gotten so close. But I am also the type who thinks everything happens for a reason. There must be a reason why we did not have the opportunity to meet sooner, so I will just accept this fate. I guess I was also freaking out a little...kind of like, the sooner we meet, the sooner we'll know if there is chemistry, and the less time we have to wait in case we get hurt. It was self-protection thing in my head. I am not feeling so scared right now :) And then we talked about blogging. He is a blogging virgin, but he knows that my blog exists. He's not sure he is comfortable being blogged about. I'm not sure what I think about that. If he doesn't want to be mentioned, I think I can respect his wishes. however, I do like to blog about my life, and if he is a part of it...well... He gave an example of, "what if we got into you a fight? You'd likely blog about it." Now I can't remember why that would be an issue. :oops: But he was like if he was dumped for picking his nose, he didn't want to be known as the Nose Picker. That's when I told him about Mr. Penis Photo!! His brother is very protective of him, and is probably quite paranoid of me. Dr. T has gotten caught up over girls before and has gotten badly burned...I know I am not like those girls. I've never been so open and unguarded with my feelings with any guy before. <6 weeks to go...> |

I'm with Dr. T about the personal stuff. I would never publish mean stuff about anyone I cared about - or even someone I ONCE cared about. I couldn't do it, seems really mean. But hey, what do I know...

It's a fine line of what is sharing too much about someone else...My blogging style is talk about everything that goes on in my life. I've not used it to talk smack (too much...), but I have stated issues...so I dunno!

Of course, if Dr. T is very uncomfortable with you blogging about him, then you shouldn't. But you need to tell him your blog friends will be disappointed that they don't get to hear the details!! :)

I went thru a similar situation this time last year. What I learned is that if you want love - you have to lay it on the line, you have to be open, honest and let down your guard - but you have to temper it with reason, patience and sanity.
Adding chemistry to the mix - the X factor.
I will say that 10 days is an EXTREMELY long time - as someone who spent a (very long and uncomfortable weekend) with someone when we tried to go from friend to more than friend - it crashed and burned. Had I been there for 10 days, I would have started walking home...
If it clicks, you can always visit each other again...

I am still a little nervous about the chemistry thing. I will be extremely disappointed if there in no chemistry (oooh, pressure is on). Too bad chemistry can't be forced! He's already moving here for a job.
