++Tis the season to watch movies
12.26.05 (5:37 pm)   [edit]
Syriana

I missed the first 10 - 15 minutes. Maybe that's why I wasn't really sure what the *point* of the movie was. Everything I did see was riveting, but I was seriously in a fog the whole way through.

Brokeback Mountain

I've never really been one for romance flicks. Usually they're just so cheesey with the all-too-predictable endings. But this one was just sad  I really enjoyed it. I wasn't sure what to expect.

Only a few things stood out to me that had no bearing on the story. There were some bad sideburns in the movie. And I wondered about Jack Twist's coat. After quite a number of years, he was still wearing it. And why did his parents live in such squalor after he became rich? Ennis' piece of pie grew. He had just about finished eating the thing, and when the camera went back to his dish, there was about half a piece left again.

All the younger important female characters in the movies were played by actresses that I was used to seeing in teen movies. Michelle Williams, the Princess Diaries girl, Velma from the Scooby-doo movies, and the girl from Urban Legends (the third one). It was strange to see their boobage.

There was some butt scenes, but I was wondering if I saw schlong. There wasn't enough time to tell.

I'm not sure if liked Heath Ledger's acting in this movie. I'm not sure if I particularly like his acting, anyway. This movie did remind me that I am not getting any. :x

I just thought it was really tragic story :( The ending made me think, but a sequel would be unnecessary. :)

I don't go to the movies too much, but I did go see Harry Potter. Good movie.

I still haven't watched the new DVDs I bought, I'll get around to it this weekend...hopefully.
