Making peanut butter
03.02.06 (10:19 am)   [edit]

I feel weird when I say making peanut butter now.

I use my mixer and make PB...it only takes roasted peanuts, honey, and some corn oil. It's nice and natural even if it is more costly than buying a jar of Kraft creamy Lite. And I don't even mind that it doesn't turn out completely smooth.

But making peanuts butter...I can never talk about it with "a" without thinking about his poo joke!! Every time I tell him I've made peanut butter, I feel like I'm telling him I took a dump.

And there's this pole dance school that is now offering chair dance classes...that sounds really interesting. Too bad the classes are downtown and start at 6 pm. That really sucks for traveli,ng and parking time. I've also decided to check out my new Carmen Electra DVDs before signing up for any chair dancing classes. They sound like they could be a lot of fun though!

that sounds like a more natural way of making it thou instead of buying with all the additives they have in a jar at the store

I never thought about making my own peanut butter. That sounds really good!!

Hmmm...something new to try when the feeling of adventure sweeps over me :) And I'm not talking just about the peanut butter.

The best part about making your own PB is that you know what's (or what's not) going in it!

Making your own PB is great :) I don't add any salt either!

I'm actually not a big fan of PB either; I only like it with jam or jelly. I heard that PB and cucumber is good...I haven't tried *that* combo.

I don't measure any of my ingredients...but I probably use about 1 cup of peanuts, 1.5 tbsp of honey, and 2 tbsp of oil?! I like my peanut butter on the sweet side, and I add a bit of oil each time until my PB is the consistency I like!

I have an affliction to peanuts. It's not that I'm allergic, but I can ONLY eat peants that I've shelled myself and that still have the red skin on. Weird, I know.

What happens when you don't eat peanuts you've shelled yourself and/or don't have skin?! *L*
