posted by: themarina (reply) post date: 03.28.06 (12:09 pm) Now I'm feeling cheap. I can't imagine spending that much on dinner. At least not in my current financial situation. I'm not going to say EVER because you never know what could happen in the future (after all, I might win the lotto or something...). I must have dated the wrong guys when I was still dating. I think the most one ever spent on a meal was $150... posted by: irishred (reply) post date: 03.28.06 (12:16 pm) That's a lot of dough!! posted by: lynne (reply) post date: 03.28.06 (1:30 pm) I have spent that much on dinner before and have had someone buy me such an expensive dinner but I think I have gotten a lot cheaper these days because $400 can buy a lot of other things like last longer than dinner. posted by: katz (reply) post date: 03.28.06 (1:42 pm) It's all for show.. probably wants to let ppl know that his site is doing good. I'm a cheapo when it comes to certain things. posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 03.28.06 (4:38 pm) My God I can nearly feed my family on $400 a month, lol. I might be cheaper than I thought I was :) posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.29.06 (8:18 am) Reply to: themarina $150 on a dinner is probably close to my most expensive meal out with a boyfriend. I think I would spend that much on a dinner if the restaurant was really nice and if it was a special occasion. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.29.06 (8:20 am) Reply to: irishred Yeah, $400 could also buy you a lot of dough!! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.29.06 (8:23 am) Reply to: lynne One day I'll experience a $400 dinner, but in the meantime, I will just get to hear about other people's experiences!! I don't think I'm in a place right now to be eating such dinners *L* posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.29.06 (8:24 am) Reply to: katz Yep, el Cheapo is definitely into more show these days. However, he still likes a good deal. Good bang for his buck! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.29.06 (8:25 am) Reply to: FinalyFree I think I could probably feed myself 4 months with $400 *L* But maybe I will get that $400 dinner one day...before inflation sets in even more *L* posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 03.29.06 (5:34 pm) Reply to: rosietulips I'm so cheap that I'd never be able to enjoy something that expensive--unless of course I suddenly became independently (Donald Trumpesque) rich. Then, ya, I could probably wallow in it, lol. And don't worry about inflation dear, it's gas prices! Even if we could afford the dinner we'd not be able to drive to it, lol. posted by: supremeanna (reply) post date: 03.30.06 (3:20 am) hahaha, counting his chickens before they hatch. that works out...not! :) |
