posted by: themarina (reply) post date: 04.04.06 (8:31 am) sometimes, i have stretches of days like that. non-stop type type type. i bloody can't stand it sometimes! i hope you manage to get a bit of downtime soon! posted by: kayoko (reply) post date: 04.04.06 (10:34 am) Why don't you just turn off the auto-signin for MSN? That way you can control when you're online and when you're offline. People message other people regardless of their status. Some of the people on my friends list are forever set as "away" even when they're there. So I've come to the conclusion that the status is usually not a very good indication of where the person is most of the time. Please forgive them, I don't think they meant any harm. "Appear Offline" is useful if you're waiting for someone and have a notification for that person. So it's sort of useless, but not really. I saw on your profile that your'e a technical writer. I actually considered that as a career choice so it's really interesting to see someone have that occupation. I hope you have a good evening regardless of how the rest of the day went! posted by: katz (reply) post date: 04.04.06 (2:23 pm) sounds like you need a Rosie day!! posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 04.05.06 (10:02 am) kayoko is right. Go into preferences and uncheck the box that automatically signs you into messenger when you boot up. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 04.05.06 (10:58 am) Reply to: katz I can't *wait* to have a Rosie day...I am thinking about being "sick" next week, but then I will probably feel too guilty since it's a long weekend anyway :-/ posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 04.05.06 (10:58 am) Reply to: themarina I need some downtown so badly! Soon...my back will love me for it. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 04.05.06 (10:59 am) Reply to: kayoko Thanks, kayoko :) And thanks for dropping by! I usually do want MSN to sign me in right away, but it's just been lately that I've had to avoid it. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 04.05.06 (11:01 am) Reply to: bawdy But...but...I *like* being automatically signed in! Except when I don't like it. I'll just keep complaining ;-) |
