I had several doses of mom-drama this week too. Doesn't it drive you crazy how they make you feel like a kid all over again? Happy last week at work. :) posted by: katz (reply) post date: 08.07.06 (10:41 am) what were you 5 when you hit this boy?? that's a long time to keep a grudge especially when you were a kid when you did it. sheessh some ppl!! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.07.06 (7:58 pm) Reply to: LadyG I'm off to Hawaii soon! I'm so excited! I decided to not say anything to my mom...I will just let it go. It's just the way she has always been with me. I tend to be on the lowest rung of the ladder when it comes to getting respect. It's fine when there is no one else around. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.07.06 (8:00 pm) Reply to: scubadiva I did like the dress on me, but the fabric is so thin and clingy (I picked up some breast petals today...I hope they are useful). If I wear it when I am bloated, people will see a belly, which isn't very attractive!! The less time I spend with my mom when other relatives are around, the better!! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.07.06 (8:02 pm) Reply to: katz Well, that is an old school Chinese grandmother for you. Grandsons are definitely precious little children. I hope she felt better and she'd better never bring it up again! posted by: scubadiva (reply) post date: 08.08.06 (1:53 am) Reply to: rosietulips If YOU like the dress, then that's all that matters. Now work out a little harder and watch your food so that you'll be uber-confident in it and won't have to worry about bloat. (I'll save the elliptical next to me at the gym) posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.08.06 (8:26 am) Reply to: LadyG Ooh la la...I have a couple of bikinis ready to go ;-) posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.08.06 (8:26 am) Reply to: scubadiva I'm still working on it, but I am not seeing much progress!! I don't know what I am not doing!! posted by: scubadiva (reply) post date: 08.08.06 (12:33 pm) Reply to: rosietulips What really seemed to make the difference for me was doing 5 mini-meals a day. Loosely-based on Michael Thurmond's 6 day body makeover book (available at your local library). And I work out too much. And sit in the sauna for an hour a day. But, the scale is moving downward and I am noticing a lot more toning. |
