I have NO clue what this process entails, lol. posted by: scubadiva (reply) post date: 08.15.06 (6:09 am) Wouldn't it be great if we could permanently 'photoshop' our bodies with the stroke of a pen? posted by: katz (reply) post date: 08.15.06 (7:12 am) I heard about Bodyworlds.. sounds interesting it's right up my alley lol.. posted by: lynne (reply) post date: 08.15.06 (11:55 am) I have heard about Bodyworlds too. IT sounds like it would be really cool. I hope you give us a full report! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.15.06 (12:30 pm) Reply to: FinalyFree I'm not too sure about plastination either, but all I know is that I am going to be looking at actual human bodies that have been preserved!!! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.15.06 (12:31 pm) Reply to: Katz Well, the show is going to be on all fall into the new year, I think!! Lots of opportunity for you to check it out :D posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.15.06 (12:32 pm) Reply to: LadyG It's hard finding a good and patient doctor! Great point about the spinal problem!! I do have minor scoliosis. I should look into what things I should be looking out for... posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.15.06 (12:34 pm) Reply to: scubadiva After watching all this Nip/Tuck, it's given me the impression that everyone should get cosmetic surgery! Self-surgery should be the next thing since they've already started with the cosmetic peels... posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.15.06 (12:34 pm) Reply to: lynne I'll be sure to give a full report! The show is a month away, and I'm due to attend the second weekend it opens!! posted by: FitGirl15 (reply) post date: 08.15.06 (1:03 pm) You should see a chiropractor to get your spine straightened out... maybe that's why you are off on one side? I know he sure helped me out! That reminds me, I should make another appointment :) Have fun at BodyWorlds... sounds gross! LOL posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.15.06 (1:33 pm) Reply to: LadyG Wow, nurse to florist! That is quite a change. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.15.06 (1:34 pm) Reply to: FitGirl15 I'm so scared of chiropractors! I didn't like the last one I saw, and all the noises that come out of those treatments sound much more gross than seeing dead bodies at BodyWorlds!! BWAHAHHAA posted by: themarina (reply) post date: 08.15.06 (1:56 pm) OMG!! Thanks for the heads up on Bodyworlds! I'll have to pop by and reserve my tickets too! I read about this process in some art magazine of all things but it looks and sounds fascinating! posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 08.15.06 (3:34 pm) Reply to: I saw something on the National Geographic channel recently about this, it wasn't a traveling exhibit but it was pretty fascinating. Yes, by all means I want a full report, lol. posted by: scubadiva (reply) post date: 08.15.06 (4:00 pm) Two words for you: Extreme Makeover. And I expect to have a major overhaul in the next two years. We're talking MAJOR. Arms. Thighs. Waist lipo. Losing 100+ lbs makes things not too pretty nekkid. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.16.06 (3:13 pm) Reply to: themarina Book your tickets now! The price difference is almost astounding! I got the $25 tickets because I'm going on a Sunday morning, but it's like $14 to go on certain evenings. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.16.06 (3:14 pm) Reply to: FinalyFree You can also donate your body to be plastinated. That could be interesting! I'd like a family member to have mine. BWAHAHHAA posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.16.06 (3:15 pm) Reply to: scubadiva Are you serious about the extreme makeover? $$$$! I wouldn't mind some tummy lipo, but the surgery for it looks so gross! Cosmetic surgery definitely isn't pretty! posted by: scubadiva (reply) post date: 08.16.06 (4:37 pm) I've had a breast reduction and a revision, a tummy tuck and a revision. I can't stand watching lipo on tv. I had minimal lipo done with the first breast reduction and that was the worst part pain-wise. Not pretty but I am mucho happy with the smaller boobies. |
