The astrologist was right
09.25.06 (11:00 am)   [edit]

The astrologist I saw last year said I would have a greater chance at meeting men if I went to humanitarian or political events or joined such groups. On Friday I volunteered with the United Way's Day of Caring. We built a short retaining wall for a group home and did some yard work. I guess one of the guys living there took a liking to me. I was a little creeped out because he just kept staring at me and kept giving me the eyebrow wiggle. I was flattered anyway. It was a little embarrassing that my coworkers noticed this young man.

Again, I did not get enough sleep this weekend. I am still on a deficit. I have a feeling tonight there will not be any late night phone calls or sleepovers. BWAHAHA Mr. Nick and I have seen each other every day since last Monday.

I am really surprised at myself about this. I hope I am not overdoing this time together thing. I like being around him, but we're still getting to know each other. I met some of his friends on the weekend. Once again, I hope I didn't seem like a snob. But we were at a hockey game, and making conversation was just not that easy.

Giving you the eye eh? Thanks cute.

As for the guy...I don't think this is anything to be scared about. Just enjoy it!

Maybe it's the moon or something, but I've been having a lot of sleep problems recently too!

And I had an encounter this afternoon with a learning/hearing-impaired man that was very uncomfortable too. I was trying to be engaging and attentive, but there were a lot of other individuals around, he was monopolizing me with a barrage of questions. He got a little too friendly and was invading my space and touching/pointing me. (at my badge and buttons).

Fortunately, my reprieve was when a 4 year old threw her flip flop over the fence into the sea lion area. This constituted an "emergency" and I was able to escape.

Apparently your astrologist didn't indicate the *quality* of the men you'd meet, just the quantity?

It sounds like Mr. Nick is a keeper! Seeing a guy everyday of the week... that's serious :)

Hahaha. Oh my. I can just see you getting eye brow wiggles from some guy you are totally not interested in. :)

LMAO, rosie! I can only imagine how creeped out you were by the Eyebrow Man ;-)~ LOL Too funny!...It feels good to be interested in someone and them feel the same way about you :-) I'd love to be in a position where I could see a certain someone everyday, but unfortunately that's not the case Oh well...I'll just enjoy what I have! Great blog!

Rosie,

I have given up on the Leafs. I am going to keep rooting for the Boston Bruins. They are my new team this year. Maybe we will play Vancouver in the finals :)

*L* The astrologist didn't really mention anything about the quality except that men would be less intimidated by me! Unfortunately, I am not into guys with Down's Syndrome.

This week could be the one where we spend the least amount of time together!! It's only Tuesday but I probably won't see him until Friday!!

It seems easier to attract people you're not interested in. D'oh!

This seeing someone regularly is definitely very new to me. It's weird! But I like it!

I'm not sure I can go a couple of days without some sort of contact *embarrassed* Now it's almost like a game to see if we can see each other every day. BWAHAHA ugh.
