posted by: katz (reply) post date: 02.26.07 (9:31 am) sounds like they don't want our canadian money. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 02.26.07 (9:46 am) Reply to: katz It is often a pain trying to order something from an American Web site. I always try to see if I can order the same thing off a Canadian one. posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 02.26.07 (10:51 am) You'd think the store would try to make the buying experience a little more pleasant no matter where you're ordering from, ya know? I mean geez when I was in Canada I didn't have hardly any money converted, didn't need to. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 02.26.07 (11:22 am) Reply to: FinalyFree We always make it easy for our Americans! American money is gladly taken here! posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 02.26.07 (11:38 am) Reply to: rosietulips You sure do! I still don't understand the gravy on french fries though, lol. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 02.26.07 (12:28 pm) Reply to: FinalyFree Me neither *L* I like my fries with Heinz ketchup! posted by: doeeyed (reply) post date: 02.26.07 (4:06 pm) Reply to: FinalyFree Guess what?!? I had gravy on french fries the other night! I in a million years thought I'd do that but, I did and it was so good. I'm embarrassed to even say it..hahaha I made a roast with brown gravy and was going to make mashed potatoes but hubby wanted steak fries and so the story goes, we had fries with gravy. To Rosie, I can't believe your Aunt would expect your boyfriend to bring a gift? Wow. Hey, I've missed you :) posted by: doeeyed (reply) post date: 02.26.07 (4:07 pm) I in a million years thought I'd do that I NEVER in a million years thought I'd do that....oops posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 02.26.07 (4:10 pm) Reply to: doeeyed I've missed you too! It's not a huge deal to have gravy with your fries *L* Did you enjoy it? I think my aunt expects everyone that attends the reception to bring a gift. I would never demand gifts, that's for sure! posted by: LadyG (reply) post date: 02.26.07 (7:15 pm) Good that you were able to finally make the purchase. Why do they make things so hard? posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 02.26.07 (9:20 pm) Reply to: rosietulips I was stunned when I visited Canada and all my friends thought we Americans ate mayo on our fries!! Ok, maybe tartar sauce if I'm having fish but that's the only time, lol. I distinctly remember eating the first night in SK in a restaurant ordering a burger and some fries and the waitress asked, "Would like the gravy on the fries or on the side" I damn near fell out of my chair, lol. But the real kicker is when I said, not missing a beat, "Y'all eat gravy on your fries?" Then they all fell out of their chairs laughing at the hick, lol. And is there any other kind of ketchup besides Heinz? heh posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 02.26.07 (9:21 pm) Reply to: doeeyed Well I can see that, but when I was in Canada it was like the norm, everywhere. It was really weird. LOL You're not weird though! posted by: 69whisper (reply) post date: 02.26.07 (10:27 pm) all is well if it ends well (Shakespear). posted by: doeeyed (reply) post date: 02.27.07 (5:07 am) Reply to: rosietulips "Did you enjoy it?" Yes we both enjoyed it :)~ posted by: Fitgirl (reply) post date: 02.27.07 (8:20 am) Glad you finally got the gift card purchased! I would have given up long ago! I HATE bad customer service!!! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 02.27.07 (10:06 am) Reply to: LadyG The reason why I do like shopping online is because it's supposed to be faster and easier! I think if it wasn't a wedding gift, I would have just forgotten about buying anything altogether. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 02.27.07 (10:08 am) Reply to: FinalyFree I've known people who like mayo with their fries, but I've never heard of it as an American trend. BWAHAHA The only time I want gravy on my fries is when I eat poutine!! Fries with cheese curds and gravy! MMM! (Poutine would definitely do wonders for your cholesterol!) posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 02.27.07 (10:08 am) Reply to: Fitgirl I hate bad customer service, too. If it wasn't for my cousin's wedding, I would have just left the Web site! posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 02.27.07 (11:22 am) Reply to: rosietulips Jesus, God, poutine!!! I'd forgotten about that...ok to counteract that horror I'll just focus on 'Coffee Crisp'...hmmmm. Yum-O! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 02.27.07 (11:26 am) Reply to: FinalyFree Mmmm! Coffee Crisp is one of my favourites! I used to love the commercials. "How do you like your coffee?" "Creeeeeesp!" posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 02.27.07 (11:39 am) Reply to: rosietulips I became addicted to them while I was there! Recently I found them in a Dollar Tree store! I FREAKED, lol. That's the one and only place I've ever seen them here. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 02.27.07 (12:11 pm) Reply to: FinalyFree Did you stock up?? If you ever come back to Canada, you can buy them by the boxfuls at Costco! BWAHAHA I haven't done that yet, though. Every time I get a box of chocolate bars from Costco, I get sick of them. I don't want that to happen to me and Coffee Crisp! |
