posted by: 69whisper (reply) post date: 03.01.07 (11:35 am) my wife operates on my cheeks with a thread sometimes and she is good at it. I kinda enjoy the itching pain :) posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.01.07 (11:38 am) Reply to: 69whisper *L* Usually I probably wouldn't mind the pain, but the esthetician told me that if you are stressed, it will feel more painful! posted by: 69whisper (reply) post date: 03.01.07 (11:41 am) my wife applies some kind of powder before she threads me. Did she apply anything ?? posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.01.07 (11:42 am) Reply to: 69whisper Yes! I think she did! posted by: 69whisper (reply) post date: 03.01.07 (11:57 am) then i think the pain was due to first ever experience. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.01.07 (12:04 pm) Reply to: 69whisper It's possible! I usually get my eyebrows waxed, but I definitely hadn't had them done in a while. posted by: doeeyed (reply) post date: 03.01.07 (2:12 pm) Threaded? I'm not sure what that is.... 'splain yourself *wink* posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.01.07 (2:21 pm) Reply to: doeeyed Threading is a form of hair removal where the esthetician uses a thread. I guess the thread ends up being wrapped around the hair, and yanks it out?? I am not quite sure. But I would do it again! posted by: katz (reply) post date: 03.01.07 (3:47 pm) bwahhahahahaha your eyebrows felt the size of your forehead. I heard that threading doesn't cause the swelling like waxing does. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.01.07 (3:48 pm) Reply to: katz When I looked in the mirror, my eyebrows only looked a little pink! The aftermath was not as horrible as it felt. BWAHAHAHA posted by: doeeyed (reply) post date: 03.01.07 (3:52 pm) I had never even heard of an esthetician until last week when I had a facial in Florida and now I've heard the word umpteen times since then :) Hmmm, I wonder how they actually wrap the thread around the eyebrow? I'm going to have to google now :) posted by: themarina (reply) post date: 03.01.07 (3:54 pm) I've considered threading but have never actually got it done. Maybe the next time my eyebrows need a fix... posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.01.07 (3:55 pm) Reply to: doeeyed Apparently, I keep spelling esthetician wrong, but I haven't looked it up in the dictionary to find the correct spelling yet! To my knowledge the thread goes around each hair...I can't imagine how it works when the hair is so skinny! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.01.07 (3:56 pm) Reply to: themarina I definitely prefer it over waxing. The lady who did my brows said she would never wax her face! I hear you get your eyebrows threaded for as little as $5. I paid $12 for mine which was also cheaper than waxing! posted by: thecyberwriter (reply) post date: 03.01.07 (5:57 pm) LMFAO, rosie! I have never been waxed before - anywhere on my body LOL I think I would rather eat dirt than have my eyebrows waxed ;-) LOL posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.02.07 (7:37 am) Reply to: thecyberwriter Waxing is fun!!!! But maybe only if you have a semi-high threshold for pain. But if you'd rather eat dirt... ;-) |
