I swear I can't figure some women out! *cough* Half-a-mil for just an average house? Geez Louise! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.08.07 (11:55 am) Reply to: FinalyFree She said she changed her mind! Never mind that she lied to him when he asked her if she found him attractive. For a quarter of a mill, you can buy a lovely (new) 1 bedroom apartment or a 2 bedroom if you want something a little older. The market is crazy here! posted by: themarina (reply) post date: 03.08.07 (12:04 pm) Oh jeez. That sounds a little needy... The housing prices are ridiculous. I wish I'd been interested in buying 10 years ago. At this rate, we're never going to be able to afford a house. posted by: RoxGirl (reply) post date: 03.08.07 (1:08 pm) Wow, some.girlz.just.don't.get.it! I'm glad the dating drama is over for me. And yeah, I feel your pain about the housing prices... I'm just lucky I got in when I did! (Still paid $190K for a 1000sq. ft. CONDO though!) posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.08.07 (1:14 pm) Reply to: themarina At this rate, I can't afford a shack either! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.08.07 (1:15 pm) Reply to: RoxGirl I bought at a good time, too...$175K for 778sf condo. I get happy about what I'd get for selling my place, but then I remember that I'd have to buy a new place for just as much...*L* posted by: katz (reply) post date: 03.08.07 (2:22 pm) yeah market here is horrible too. A single person can't own at all. You need 2 incomes to qualify for a mortgage now posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.08.07 (2:24 pm) Reply to: katz I don't know how our parents did it even when mortgages rates were like 25%! posted by: LadyG (reply) post date: 03.08.07 (5:40 pm) I think what your cousin misses is the being put on a pedestal part. I think the housing market is crazy all over now. posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 03.10.07 (7:48 pm) Reply to: rosietulips The market is beyond crazy girlfriend! lol We bought this house a year ago, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, huge rec room and two decks on a lovely, level lot. 90K. Of course I do live in the armpit of East TN so I suppose it's just a matter of choices, lol. Seriously tho I can't imagine those kinds of prices. The first house I bought was about 15 years ago--a fixer-upper for a whopping $26,000. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.12.07 (12:43 pm) Reply to: LadyG Thankfully, my cousin has gotten over the guy she was dating! I know she desperately wants a boyfriend, but I don't want her to settle! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.12.07 (12:43 pm) Reply to: FinalyFree What I wouldn't give to buy a house for less than 100K!!! I don't think it'd be possible to do that here...not even for a hut!! posted by: ggirl (reply) post date: 03.13.07 (8:25 am) It was a power thing, probably. Glad she's come to her senses. |
