I hope I wasn't this bad when I was single. If I was...I'm sorry for anyone who read through my drivel and my dissections. So my cousin who was dating this older guy finally called it quits. But she met another guy. In the time span of a week, they went on their first date, he was telling all his friend and family about her, and was ready to introduce her to the family to a discussion and leading to their breakup. When they first met, she wasn't attracted to him. "He seems nice." She went out with him because he seemed nice. I was like why bother if you're not attracted..."can you see yourself sleeping with him?" She said "EW! NO!" Anyway, he was really into her and paid her LOTS of attention. She really loved that part...being put on a pedestal (how Leo...) but she still wasn't physically attracted to him. "I turn my head so I don't have to kiss him...Will the attraction come later?" (I don't think attraction comes if there was none in the first place.) They had this talk about this guy's ex-girlfriend who's become a (platonic) "close" friend. My cousin felt threatened by this relationship, so she brought it up. He said he didn't know how to take it, so he called it quits. And now, my cousin is doing everything she can to keep him around. I am really tired of all her tactics and musings. "I just need to talk to him in person. He will change his mind."
"I called him last night and his phone was off. If I don't hear from him by 7 pm tonight, I will go crazy!" Our dating styles are different. I have too much pride to go after a guy who doesn't want me. It frustrates me because she should just stop wasting her time on someone she is not really attracted to. And I can't keep harping on how I feel because I also want to be supportive. And Vancouver's housing prices are the highest all across Canada. All I need is $540K to own a house! YEEEEAH!

Ya know I can see the 'thrill' of the chase but why would you chase someone who repulses you? heh. I swear I can't figure some women out!
*cough* Half-a-mil for just an average house? Geez Louise!

She said she changed her mind! Never mind that she lied to him when he asked her if she found him attractive.
For a quarter of a mill, you can buy a lovely (new) 1 bedroom apartment or a 2 bedroom if you want something a little older. The market is crazy here!

The housing prices are ridiculous. I wish I'd been interested in buying 10 years ago. At this rate, we're never going to be able to afford a house.

Wow, some.girlz.just.don't.get.it! I'm glad the dating drama is over for me.
And yeah, I feel your pain about the housing prices... I'm just lucky I got in when I did! (Still paid $190K for a 1000sq. ft. CONDO though!)

I bought at a good time, too...$175K for 778sf condo. I get happy about what I'd get for selling my place, but then I remember that I'd have to buy a new place for just as much...*L*

yeah market here is horrible too. A single person can't own at all. You need 2 incomes to qualify for a mortgage now

I think what your cousin misses is the being put on a pedestal part. I think the housing market is crazy all over now.

The market is beyond crazy girlfriend! lol We bought this house a year ago, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, huge rec room and two decks on a lovely, level lot. 90K. Of course I do live in the armpit of East TN so I suppose it's just a matter of choices, lol.
Seriously tho I can't imagine those kinds of prices. The first house I bought was about 15 years ago--a fixer-upper for a whopping $26,000.
