Ugh
03.19.07 (8:04 am)   [edit]

My boss is in the office today. I don't think I've spoken to him since last week. He wasn't in for half of it, but he never mentioned anything ahead of time.

I hope I get the job I'm getting interviewed for today. I need to do more prep at some point.

I think the worst part of my current job is my boss. He's even worse than a previous manager I had who asked me, "so...what do technical writers do?" BWAHAHA (and this was after he became my manager...BWAHAHHAA)

I think he's the worst manager I've ever had because he's completely unsupportive and he doesn't keep the lines of communication open. I thought managers were supposed to be leaders.

Dinner turned out great last night. It was less stressful since Mr. Nick helped :) And yesterday's breakfast was good, too! Ina's sour cream banana pancakes were even better than the Martha Stewart buttermilk pancakes I made last week!! I guess I will post some photos later.

Edit: Bloggers regularly mention "DH"...What is DH??!?! Someone, please tell me!!

You thought managers were supposed to be leaders? You silly, silly girl. Keeping my fingers crossed for that new job. Keep us posted.

DH? Dear hubby? Darling husband?

It's my experience that most managers are ass-kissers who have secured their jobs by sucking up. Truly good managers are very few and far between. Hope you can find one of those managers at a new job!

I think DH is 'dear husband'--I much prefer 'the man' LOL

I always figured DH had to do with a male significant other, but not knowing the exact words was starting to drive me batty!

I hope I have another good manager again. I've had a couple who actually enabled me to just do my work where they took care of all the other details.

I've had my share of bosses like that one. It certainly doesn't make for a good work environment.

Wow there's bitterness in the rosieland readership towards managers... I can't say i've had many bad managers...a few i guess. It comes down to corporate culture, really...crappy culture means crappy people with good brown nose abilities move up...good culture means the cream rises. I have no idea what DH means...any context?

Hmmm not sure, probably. Right along the lines of TOL--"The 'Ol Lady"...ACK I detest that, lol.

No, it doesn't. I thought I put forth the kind of environment I wanted to work in when I was interviewed, and I made sure to ask the right questions, too!

You betcha about the bitterness. I made sure to ask questions about how things were at my current job before taking it. I totally feel misled, and wish I never took this job. There is not much corporate culture here since the company is tiny. The smaller the company, the less of a sense of comraderie I've felt here.

I see DH used when people post about their male significant others. It could mean Dear Husband...
