I feel tired
04.02.07 (1:13 pm)   [edit]

I think I feel emotionally tired.

I want that zest back. How do I get it?

This weekend was my cousin's wedding. It was okay. I was extremely choked that I did not sit with any of my family at the reception, and I was seated at a table where I couldn't even see the head table. Apparently, the restaurant screwed up the seating, but my dad says I wasn't sitting with family because Mr. Nick was my date and he wasn't officially family and he was my guest so we had to sit elsewhere. And I could not sit at the family table.

*sigh*

I had a good shopping experience at Popeye's Supplements. There is finally one in my city! I knew what I wanted, but the guy in the store was really friendly. I got a  free t-shirt, too. Unfortunately, I turned down the shaker cup. But I picked up 6 pounds of my protein powder for $80! It was on sale!! I'd been paying $40 for 2 lbs. And I may just start buying my Udo's Oil there even if I am paying a few bucks more. I am tired of going back to the Boot Camp guy to only have him try to sell me one of his services every time!

Personally, I think your dad should just have left it as a mistake by the restaurant. Seems a bit mean that he'd bother to say something like that.

I can't imagine ostracizing a family member for bringing a date. To a wedding. Seriously, wtf???

I think he thought he was just explaining the rules of Chinese weddings. I don't know. My aunt says there was nowhere to put me since all my other relatives sat with my aunt's in-laws.

I don't think I was otracised for bringing a date, but seriously...I am still choked that I didn't get to sit with or anywhere NEAR my relatives!!!

My dad says stuff like that too. Must be an old guy thing.

My dad also pissed off my cousin's wife. She's never really understood our family's sense of humour, but my dad probably should have said nothing. But she's 7 months pregnant, and my dad said to her, "wow, I haven't seen in you a while! You've gotten chubby!" She just looked a little mad and said, "baby."

My dad also said to me yesterday, "wow, look at your gut." :-)

I could TOTALLY see my dad doing something like that! He likes to make this sort of "baby elephant walk" sound when I gain weight. Nice. Way to scar me dad! :) Glad I'm not the only one!

Thankfully, I try to tell myself that I don't care what my dad thinks. He used to be proud that I was a chubby kid, too!
