Thanks for everyone's words of advice regarding my last post!

I brought up my concerns with Mr. Nick. (It was weird seeing him last night, but in a good way. It was like we hadn't seen each other in ages, and we had really missed each other. I think our trip brought us closer together! We saw each other last 2 days prior *L*)

I think he was a little concerned I'd flee if he got really sick. "Would you leave me?" The first time he asked I told him the truth in that I didn't know. Not really what he wanted to hear...but the second time I told him no. I do want to be there for him, and he wants me there for him, too. And I have no plans to run when the going gets tough.

He's not going to die from his Crohn's, and he said that when he wants space, it's because he doesn't want to burden anyone. Anyway, he suggested I force him to slow down when he talks about being tired because he tends to push himself.

*dons the Mother Hen outfit*

As the woman in the relationship, the Mother Hen roll seems to naturally fit us! What would a man do without a strong woman to help them balance their lives? :)

Sounds like things are going very well for you two!!! YAY!

Thank God it's only Crohn's disease, because that is something liveable.... and none of us know when we might be the one getting sick, and wouldn't it be nice to know someone is there for us..... You know in your heart how you feel about Nick.....and you seem pretty special to me......

I am exactly like Mr. Nick when I'm feeling bad. This was extremely hard for my very nuturing husband. He wanted to smother me with attention, and comfort me, but I, much like a wounded animal, wanted to curl into the fetal position and be left alone. Yes, I do want someone to check on me from time to time, but that's about it! Last Summer was a very trying time for us when I was bedfast and so sick but I think he's finally realized that my behavior is no reflection on my feelings for him.

Isn't it funny how we all behave when sick? But I'm sure Mr. Nick really appreciates you just being there and wanting to take care of him :)

FYI since I've been MIA I haven't been reading much, but I just caught up on most of your latest posts, just didn't slow down long enough to comment, lol. Your trip sounded wonderful tho, I'm pretty jealous about all the shopping! heh. And maybe I missed it or just didn't read far enough back, but what ever happened with the job?

Aw, thanks Judy :) And I am also glad it's only Crohn's. He is seeing a specialist next month, which will probably make us both feel better!

I guess the hardest part about caring about a sick person is sometimes there just isn't anything I can do! Thankfully, Mr. Nick isn't horribly sick right now. It's kind of useless for me to prepare for something that may not even happen, but I can't help but want to be somewhat prepared mentally and emotionally!

I am feeling the pain in my wallet from all the shopping *L* And now I have to say up for more shopping in a couple of months! GAH! Hopefully I won't see too much that I want.

I didn't make it past the second round of the job interviews. It was a horrible day! And I am okay with no moving forward because the two people who interviewed me would have been my co-workers. No, thanks.
