Put it all together in some heat source and you have cooking! posted by: themarina (reply) post date: 08.20.07 (4:41 pm) Good for you Rosie! That's awesome you're still making the donations! As for the mixer...I'm SO jealous. I've been hinting at hubby that I want one of these for my upcoming birthday! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.20.07 (4:44 pm) Reply to: themarina I should share my earnings. But selfishly speaking, I can get a bit of a tax break for making donations, but it's worth my while only after I donate at least $200 a year! I don't know if Costco still has the sale going on, but the mixer was $100 off recently! I had gotten mine at $75. Sometimes HomeOutfitters has awesome sales, too...just keep your eyes peeled :) Once you get the mixer, you'll want the attachments...I don't have any yet, though. posted by: katz (reply) post date: 08.20.07 (5:06 pm) Thanks for wanting to contribute to the Chrohn's and Colitus Foundation. I think that is a huge gesture to make towards your relationship with Mr. Nick. I hope he appreciates it. posted by: ggirl (reply) post date: 08.21.07 (9:07 am) www.blindness.org/ posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.21.07 (9:43 am) Reply to: katz I think he would. He did say thanks when I mentioned what I wanted to do. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.21.07 (9:43 am) Reply to: ggirl Thanks! What are ya unAmerican. Oh yeah ,you're not an American. ;) posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.22.07 (9:25 am) Reply to: apyjo BWAHAHA What about fringe instead? I am so uncrafty that I would never think to fix it myself! I may have to contact this woman to make me another one!! posted by: inkspector (reply) post date: 08.22.07 (12:02 pm) I have a Black and Decker mixer, as a matter of fact, I am going to use it today to bake Choco Chip Banana Bread (recipe in my blog). Anyways, on mine, there are little tiny icons above the place where you put the beaters. One of my beaters is one shape and the other is a similiar but different shape, they have to be inserted in the right slots or they don't work too well. I know you say your eyesight is bad, but get a magnifying glass and see if you have the icons and see if the shape of your beaters are slightly different but may look the same. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 08.22.07 (12:10 pm) Mmm...chocolate chip banana bread sounds delicious! I made some banana bread on the weekend, but didn't like how it turned out. It always turns out so much better when other people make it!! I'll have to check out the beaters...does the Black and Decker mixer work like the KitchenAid? The attachments just hook onto the unit, and I think I may have to make minor adjustments to the unit!! |
