At 8.0 you'd need to blow up a pic to the size of a wall in order to see a difference with 10.0...and i'm guessing you don't have alot of wall sized photo's in your house. No, what u want is the better lens (which isn't necessarily dictated by the longer digital zoom) to give you better pics. At 2.0 megapixels, more is better for you. At 8.0, more is better for the sales guy. posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 10.04.07 (12:14 pm) You were leaning on a guy on the bus after whining about a woman doing the same to you a couple weeks ago? The nerve! heh posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 10.04.07 (12:20 pm) So what do Canadians have for Thanksgiving? Turkey and dressing? heh And ummmm, what the heck is a dryer ball? Geez am I sheltered or WHAT? lol posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 10.04.07 (12:30 pm) Reply to: bawdy no! I got sat on by the woman! But the guy this morning probably enjoyed my company. We have sat together before! MWUAHAHA posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 10.04.07 (12:32 pm) Reply to: FinalyFree Apparently, Canadians are celebrating the harvest when it's Thanksgiving, but like American Thanksgiving, we do the turkey thing! Turkey, stuffing, the usual :) But I never really celebrated Thanksgiving growing up. Thanksgiving isn't a Chinese holiday! As for dryer balls...you can buy a pair of these spikey looking things. I think they're made of plastic or silicone or something. But you use them instead of dryer sheets. They are supposed to cut down on drying time. I only like using them because my clothes don't get static-y, and they don't get that film that the dryer sheets give off! posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 10.04.07 (12:36 pm) Reply to: rosietulips OK, I thought that might be what the dryer balls were for, I've seen something similar advertised somewhere. I think I would like that because I really don't like the heavy perfume smell of fabric softeners, I like some smell just not the overpowering stuff, ya know? Very cool that Canadians have turkey too! In fact it makes me excited about next month, well kind of excited, I'll be the one hosting and that's a LOT of cooking! lol In fact I never eat on Thanksgiving Day, I'm normally too exhausted and just sick of looking at the food, lol. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 10.04.07 (12:49 pm) Reply to: Twitchy67 I have only one blown up photo above my mantle...That photo was taken with my current camera. It was okay. I don't know much about lenses! Right now, it's more like choosing a Canon! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 10.04.07 (12:52 pm) Reply to: FinalyFree One day I will roast a turkey. I really want to try brining! And now I have this big Le Creuset dutch oven that i might as well do something with it. I got a set of lifters that could pass for gardening tools, too! The American Linens 'n' Things should carry dryer balls. I don't mind the smell of some dryer sheets, but I'd rather not be using all the chemicals. THe film that is on your clothes and towels as a result of the dryer sheets makes your clothes more flammable, too! I just sent an email to the people who made my dryer balls to see if they will replace my exploded one. MWUAHHAA posted by: bicepfan (reply) post date: 10.04.07 (2:39 pm) I got dragged to an exercise class on tuesday by a girl at work, the first 15 minutes were virtually non-stop squats, I'm still walking like John Wayne. Guys are just not used to doing squats! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 10.04.07 (3:06 pm) Reply to: bicepfan BWAHAHAHAA Squats are fun! Now you can be hamstringfan too... or quadfan! YEEEEAH! So you're going to do this class again, I presume?? posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 10.04.07 (9:27 pm) Reply to: rosietulips I've never tried a brine myself, watched Martha Stewart do one on TV years ago, just WAY too much work involved for me, lol. Give me a bird, a Reynolds Brown-N-Bag(revolutionary product I tell ya) and a nice slow oven! This is so freaky, but tonight after a family outing for Chinese we stopped back by Walgreens to pick up a few things--as I was standing in line to pay I look beside me and there's this rack of 'As Seen on TV' items and I swear to God, second shelf from the bottom, there were a package of DRYER BALLS!!! LMAO I burst out laughing and of course thinking of you...these were light blue ones and I started to get some but I'd only brought a 20 in and I had several items, a prescription and the latest People magazine--so I had just about spent the money and having a belly full of sesame chicken I didn't relish the idea of going back to the parking lot for more money, lol. But atleast now I KNOW where I can get some! heh posted by: LadyG (reply) post date: 10.05.07 (12:40 am) I hope you are feeling better, I have got to try the dryer balls. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 10.05.07 (12:57 pm) Reply to: FinalyFree Isn't brining pretty much just soaking a bird in salt water before throwing it in the oven?? What is this Brown-N-Bag you speak of?? BWAHAHA do you think you will try out the dryer balls? posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 10.05.07 (12:58 pm) Reply to: LadyG Thank you! You could probably find the dryer balls at Linens 'n' things or As Seen on TV :) |
