Shh and go away!
11.16.07 (10:05 am)   [edit]

There are 4 stalls in my washroom at work. It can be a rather busy washroom since it's our only one, and of our 80ish employees in the office, 70 are probably women (only a small exaggeration).

On the rare occasion, I can be the only one in there, and I get my pick of the stalls -- usually one beside a wall. Then someone else comes in and of the three free stalls, she'll use the one right next to mine. WTF? Do people not want as much privacy as possible?

And I hate going into a stall that just had someone exit. Often it smells like major pee (a lot of people are dehydrated) or farts.

Lastly, I hate when people talk to me while I'm peeing. I can barely hear over the tinkle.

Today, I'm going to work on a proposal to have my company send me to a conference (paid time away and to have them cover the costs). If they say no altogether, I may start my job hunt sooner than mid-spring. Oh! And I registered for my career testing package. I am really looking forward to the results. I hope they're not disappointing and I discover something I never knew about myself or careers out there.

Try this little trick....when somebody starts to enter the stall next to you, start moaning and grunting. That should but an empty stall between you and the unwanted company :D

I might give that a try if I could remain totally anonymous. BWAHAHAHA

I don't know...I never start conversations with people who are peeing! I might say bye, but that's about it!

BWAHAHA I really would like to be left alone while I pee...it doesn't take very long!

Same is true of Cafe's...if empty wherever you sit, the next people coming in will sit next to you!!! or relatively close!!!

I agree with your reasons NOT to enter a bathroom stall after someonehas just exited one... not to mention the seat is warm! GROSS!

I have trouble doing anything in a bathroom when someone else is in there at the same time. Yes, that does present problems.

I think I've noticed that about parking spots, too! People love to stick together!

Doing anything at all? If I can go in a public bathroom and not have to see anyone's face, I think that is good enough for me!

Well, I have to admit that sometimes I ask for it!
