I'm starting to like them dark
12.28.07 (1:36 pm)   [edit]

I used to love Ferrero Rocher. I think I got sick of them.

Recently I saw the dark version. I decided to wait until after Christmas to buy some. I did just that today.

I ate one and quite enjoyed its creaminess. Now I have that post-sugar-chocolate sour aftertaste, with a twinge of bitterness!

Ferrero Rondnoir! Only 160 calories in 3 and for a total of 10 grams of fat! YEEEEAH! I'm going to have a couple more before the day is over.

And I hate malls. I hate shopping when the masses are out.

I decided to take a trip to La Senza to exchange some PJs I got. (Ultimately, I decided to keep them. The pants are too big, but they came in a set. I can tighten the drawstring and still pull the pants down without undoing it. For future reference, I take a medium on top and small or extra small for bottoms from La Senza...)

Anyway, the customer service was horrible there. I personally hate La Senza stuff. The quality of their merchandise is not very good, and their bras fit me horribly. I would never choose to shop there. They had a couple of girls on the floor. One was folding underwear and could barely lift her head to answer my questions. I asked her where I could find the PJs [so I could see if there were more in my size]. She told me "in the luxury section". The store doesn't actually have signage. She also told me that there were only a few pairs left...a few days ago. Thanks, girl! Very helpful!

When I got to the fitting room area, the salesgirl had just come out from some stockroom or something and began folding stuff. I stood there for quite some time until she felt satisfied with the quantity of clothing she was hanging and decided to put me in a fitting room.

Girls, if you hate working retail, get out of it. But in the meantime, you're there to do a job...so do it well. I did the retail thing part-time for a while when I was in university.  I actually liked it when I was excelling at it, but after I was done with it, I realised how sucky it was to be in retail.

Oh, I need to get rid of my Nalgene bottles, too.

I worked retail too...at a Danier. It is incredible to me that the state of retail is the way it is now...the people they hire just don't care AT ALL. They don't even pretend to care...they barely are willing to help you and if they do help you they tell you whatever answer will make you go away the fastest. It's a total pet peeve of mine.

yes retail has definately changed over the past few years. I just don't know what it is. From what I see from having a part time job in retail. It might be because of the spoiled lil brats that have been raised in the 90's are now coming into the work force. They are all about gossip and going out and partying. You do get the occasional ones that work hard out of that generation, but the majority just don't seem to care because mommy and daddy will buy them what ever they want.

Thank goodness for online shopping! I've found that Canadian and English customer service is the pits when it comes to shopping. The US is not bad. I like it a lot in Hong Kong.
How long did you work at Danier, and did you like it??

There is nothing I like less than having to listen to people working in retail or other low-paying service industry complaining about their job or schedule or talking about how hammered they were on the weekend.

I worked at Danier for about six months in 1995...I was between jobs and they were actually was pretty good (back then) about customer service...the bosses were able to get a good team by paying decent commission. It still is one of the better retail companies for customer service, but it's also going down...as is the commission.

Honestly, customer service as a whole seems to suck ass these days. My cell phone carrier is the only business I can think of right off hand that actually seems to be interested in my complaint or problem, I can't think of another or one single positive experience I've had in retail lately.

Hi Rosie.....hitting the chocolates huh.....yummmmm.....exchanging thing, I never have to do that, but this year I did at Kohl's....the line was to the back of the store, so I decided to wait until after new years....yes retail sucks, i worked it for years.... and I have to say there are jsut as many meany customers as there are clerks....there doesn't seem to be any customers service anymore....we use to always acknowledge people when they came in, not now, it like were invisible.....I hope you had a merry Christmas, and have a Happy SAFE new years.....judy

Yeah, I hate shopping at the best of times! This time of year it is HELL!

And I agree with Katz, the kids of the 90's don't really care about anything because their parents will buy them anything they want or need anyways. SPOILED LIL BRATS! (I can say that cause I have two younger brothers from that generation!!!) Maybe it's also due to ADHD... I think they all have attention problems!!! lol

When I worked at The Garage, it was 1% commission on really cheap clothes! You could buy an outfit for $30. Needless to say, commission wasn't on my mind when I was working. BWAHAHA

I have another year to go before I full on shopping...unless I go to Vegas. Then I let loose!
