Your aunt sounds like the type who will give an uninformed opinion on everything. posted by: wolfen (reply) post date: 03.02.08 (11:49 am) Is she the same aunt that is always offering advice on your love life as well? Lame. posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 03.02.08 (1:07 pm) Just kindly thank your Aunt for the advice and stick to your own instincts! lol posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.03.08 (8:50 am) Reply to: bawdy My aunt means well, which is why I tend to say "mmhmm...okay...yes" and then pretty much forget what she's said! When I saw her for lunch, she was like, "let me know if you need anything, especially since we're family. I LOVE to help people." posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.03.08 (8:52 am) Reply to: wolfen BWAHAHAHA Yes! This is the same aunt that offers me advice on my love life. At least she will hold off on that for now. When I met her for lunch, I thought she was going to apologise for telling my boyfriend that she knew diamond wholesalers and that if he wanted cheaper diamonds to let her know. Instead, she told me the reason why he and I were sitting with complete strangers at my cousin's wedding banquet. My uncle thought Mr. Nick would be more comfortable sitting with people who could speak English, and they weren't sure how close Mr. Nick and I were. At least my aunt regrets that decision. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.03.08 (8:55 am) Reply to: FinalyFree That is exactly what I did! My uncle (on my mom's side) also had the same advice...to take care of all the legal stuff myself! These people are crazy! Why do people give me on advice on things they've never done? posted by: ggirl (reply) post date: 03.04.08 (10:26 am) Of course, you *would* be entitled to half of the mainland China property. Will there be costs in China that are associated with this property? You should make sure that you aren't liable for them? posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.05.08 (11:31 am) Reply to: ggirl I haven’t even begun to think about my dad’s property in mainland China. I’ll be seeking legal advice when I’m over there. At least we have a family friend who is a lawyer who may be able to assist us! I know so little about his property. I hope his friend was in the loop about the purchase. |
