I wish you didn't have so much else going on too or I'd suggest launching a complaint with the labour board. As it stands now, I'd suggest that your boss is setting you up for the same treatment as the previous employee who left. He's planning to dump you the second you give your notice. If you quit, it lets YOU decide to end the relationship. I would feel better about that if it was me. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.07.08 (11:22 am) Reply to: wolfen Whether I quit today or the first day I get back, I am sure my last days in the office will be few. (Thank goodness) I can give my 2-weeks today and make a statement and give them time to look for someone to replace me -- or I can give my 2 weeks the first day I get back and screw them over a bit. posted by: wolfen (reply) post date: 03.07.08 (11:30 am) Hmmm...I'd still be inclined to give notice today so you can sort of forget about them while you take care of your other business. On the other hand I completely understand the desire to screw them over a bit! :) posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 03.07.08 (1:04 pm) I'd give notice today because I'd be ticked off too. I'd like to be there for your exit video! posted by: PirateGirl (reply) post date: 03.07.08 (1:05 pm) Definitey quit - don't give them any opportunity to fire you - YOU should have the last say on this, not them. Good luck I'm pulling for you! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.07.08 (1:10 pm) Reply to: wolfen Earlier this week I gathered a bunch of fodder for my exit interview. If I have time today I will gather more! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.07.08 (1:12 pm) Reply to: bawdy Right now I'm trying to figure out if his treatment towards me has been harassment! I'd like to bring that up as a reason for leaving. Quitting today would be satisfying. Quitting three weeks from now would screw them over, which would also be satisfying! But hmm...which would be the great satisfaction?? posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 03.07.08 (1:12 pm) Reply to: PirateGirl Thanks! I'm quitting first thing when I get back from vacation. Screw waiting until the afternoon! posted by: PirateGirl (reply) post date: 03.07.08 (1:21 pm) Reply to: rosietulips YOU GO GIRL! ARRRRRRR! ;D |
