Pamper yourself, okay? posted by: katz (reply) post date: 04.03.08 (2:23 pm) wow I'm glad my dad's stuff was easy to deal with. Hope this saga ends soon for you. posted by: wolfen (reply) post date: 04.03.08 (2:51 pm) I'm sorry it's so long and drawn out...all these procedures and paperwork have to be wearing your patience thin and frazzling your nerves. I hope you do eventually get to have a massage, it sounds like you could really use one. :( posted by: FinalyFree (reply) post date: 04.03.08 (3:00 pm) Sheesh! What a pain. Hopefully this latest snafu will be the last :) posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 04.04.08 (4:20 pm) Reply to: ggirl 6 more days and I will get some pampering! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 04.04.08 (4:20 pm) Reply to: katz Did you sister help out lots when your dad passed? It would have been easy if my dad hadn't died overseas! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 04.04.08 (4:21 pm) Reply to: wolfen Thanks...I am a *little* tense! But in a few months, this should be all over and I can just...wait some more. BWAHAHAA posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 04.04.08 (4:22 pm) Reply to: FinalyFree Well, things are getting there. My latest obstacle is finding my dad's tax returns from the last couple of years. I know he has this stuff somewhere at his place, but I have no idea where to look. I've found all his other papers...but where are the tax returns?!? posted by: wolfen (reply) post date: 04.04.08 (8:31 pm) ...maybe you could request them from the Canadian government? posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 04.05.08 (5:09 pm) Reply to: wolfen Apparently, I can! My accountant uncle said it's not a problem to access old tax returns...but what about the privacy thing?! posted by: wolfen (reply) post date: 04.05.08 (9:39 pm) I think that they make an exception because in cases like this it is easier to go to the government and get the information than to try and figure out his filing system. I suspect that unfortunately many people go through some confusion when trying to get the estate in order...even when it's a "typical" scenario, which yours clearly isn't. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 04.08.08 (10:24 am) Reply to: wolfen Getting my dad's old tax returns won't be a problem, but I am still waiting for his death certificate! *taptaptap* posted by: wolfen (reply) post date: 04.08.08 (11:10 am) Still? Wow... posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 04.08.08 (1:08 pm) Reply to: wolfen It is going to be a looooong wait. |
