They were afraid they would like it so much...they wouldn't be able to get their T times!!! Get em Girl!!!!! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 05.07.08 (1:24 pm) Reply to: PirateGirl In that case, I *must* go find some right now!! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 05.07.08 (1:25 pm) Reply to: bawdy I wonder if good hand-eye coordination is required for golf? posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 05.07.08 (1:25 pm) Reply to: barnabus1 I used to think that's what golf meant, too until I read that read the word golf is derived from some old Scottish word that means club :D posted by: Fitgirl! (reply) post date: 05.07.08 (2:48 pm) Have fun golfing! Does Mr Nick golf too? posted by: PirateGirl (reply) post date: 05.07.08 (2:57 pm) Reply to: rosietulips ;D posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 05.07.08 (3:24 pm) Reply to: Fitgirl Thanks! He does, but I would be too intimidated to be playing with him right now! posted by: auntconi (reply) post date: 05.07.08 (8:46 pm) Good luck ~ I never had the patience for golf, but many people love the game. Hope you enjoy your time. posted by: LadyG (reply) post date: 05.08.08 (12:56 am) I think you will love it, I use to play when I was a lady of leisure. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 05.08.08 (9:21 am) Reply to: auntconi I hope I like it too! I just know that if I don't see myself improve in a short amount of time, I will probably lose interest! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 05.08.08 (9:21 am) Reply to: LadyG LadyG, have you stopped playing all together??! posted by: wolfen (reply) post date: 05.08.08 (9:50 am) I tried golfing once. It was horrible! I have terrible hand-eye coordination. Fortunately I was just at the driving range so it wasn't TOO embarrassing! I did make quite a few people laugh though. I suspect you'll do really well. Most people find it relaxing and enjoyable. :) posted by: LadyG (reply) post date: 05.08.08 (9:54 am) Reply to: rosietulips, Yes I have, played golf mostly in Morocco. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 05.08.08 (10:23 am) Reply to: wolfen I went to the golfing range once and I was horrible! But nobody told me what to do. I hated missing the ball! Do you think you'd give golf another try?? posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 05.08.08 (10:23 am) Reply to: LadyG Wow, golfing in Morocco sounds so exotic! posted by: wolfen (reply) post date: 05.08.08 (10:45 am) I probably would try it again...as long as I trusted whoever I was with not to lose patience with me. It looks like such a fun game if you can actually hit the ball! :p posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 05.08.08 (11:05 am) Reply to: wolfen Hitting the ball can be hard...getting it to go where you want is even harder! I'm glad I am taking lessons. I highly recommend them if you do decide to try golf again :-D posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 05.08.08 (12:12 pm) Reply to: rosietulips I'm sure you will get the hang of it if you concentrate. The only experience I have is miniature golf, so don't look to me for help! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 05.08.08 (12:28 pm) Reply to: bawdy Do you play pool? Golf is like a bigger version of pool! I was never very good a mini golf, but now with my most excellent putting skills, who knows?? posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 05.09.08 (11:45 am) Reply to: rosietulips I've played pool, but not often. I think you have more control in pool, and you don't have to worry about wind and water hazards! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 05.09.08 (12:42 pm) Reply to: bawdy I think one of the greatest distractions in pool is when someone else nearby bends over to take their shot! posted by: auntconi (reply) post date: 05.09.08 (5:45 pm) Reply to: rosietulips hmmm ~ your observation of 'distractions' in pool is right on! ;) posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 05.10.08 (11:35 am) Reply to: rosietulips I'm sure you take full advantage of that! |
