I had my first golf lesson yesterday, and I didn't touch a club! We just went over etiquette, clubs, and stuff about golf courses. I am already experiencing that urge to throw myself into the sport, which really only means shopping for it. But I won't. I hope I like it. I hope I get some practice, too. Mr. Nick gave me an Aerogarden for my birthday, and we finally set it up a couple of weeks ago. My herbs are sprouting. It's quite amazing. In a few months, I'll be able to harvest them and have fresh herbs whenever I want! Yahoo!

The old saying..that GOLF meant Gentlemen Only Ladies Forbidden...must have been because it was so much fun, they didn't want to share the course with women!! They were afraid they would like it so much...they wouldn't be able to get their T times!!! Get em Girl!!!!!

I used to think that's what golf meant, too until I read that read the word golf is derived from some old Scottish word that means club :D

I tried golfing once. It was horrible! I have terrible hand-eye coordination. Fortunately I was just at the driving range so it wasn't TOO embarrassing! I did make quite a few people laugh though. I suspect you'll do really well. Most people find it relaxing and enjoyable. :)

I went to the golfing range once and I was horrible! But nobody told me what to do. I hated missing the ball! Do you think you'd give golf another try??

I probably would try it again...as long as I trusted whoever I was with not to lose patience with me. It looks like such a fun game if you can actually hit the ball! :p

Hitting the ball can be hard...getting it to go where you want is even harder! I'm glad I am taking lessons. I highly recommend them if you do decide to try golf again :-D

Do you play pool? Golf is like a bigger version of pool! I was never very good a mini golf, but now with my most excellent putting skills, who knows??

I've played pool, but not often. I think you have more control in pool, and you don't have to worry about wind and water hazards!
