posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 06.21.08 (8:17 pm) Reply to: wolfen I modified an oatmeal recipe I used from the Food Network. I added raisins, apple juice, brown sugar, and half and half. I found out that it's not possible to turn half and half into whipped cream! BWAHAHAA I can't wait to eat more oatmeal since it's a clean food...but it sure can be pretty bland. I can't wait until my marshmallows are ready to eat! I did eat what was left in the mixing bowl when it was warm and gooey...Then I remembered that I will eventually try making some s'mores pie!! Maybe I was communicating with my dad. Other relatives who see these things better than I do actually felt it to be more real. Apparently, my cousin felt my dad standing over her...eerie! posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 06.22.08 (12:26 pm) I never eat oatmeal. I just started eating breakfast again recently. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 06.22.08 (6:43 pm) Reply to: bawdy GOOD! Breakfast is good for you, and you should eat it!! Eat breakfast EVERY DAY! posted by: auntconi (reply) post date: 06.22.08 (7:09 pm) What do I put on my oatmeal? Butter, brown sugar, and milk ~ yummy! When my son was in school oatmeal was his favorite breakfast cereal so we had it each morning before he got the bus to go to school. That is how I made it. He and his kids eat it like that today. So do I when I eat oatmeal. Hmmm ~ perhaps I should have some for breakfast tomorrow! Thanks for the reminder. And we say 'toot' as the little grandkids can say that easier than 'fart' ~ otherwise it sounded like something else starting with 'F' ~ so son and wife decided that was the better choice. And you know, toot's can happen anytime. :) posted by: Fitgirl (reply) post date: 06.23.08 (8:01 am) Oatmeal is AWESOME! It's like a treat to me these days. I eat it with soy milk, almond milk, almonds and blueberries! (or raspberries if I'm feeling adventerous!) I even have a "pumpkin Pie oatmeal" recipe if you are interested! Yummy!!! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 06.23.08 (9:45 am) Reply to: Fitgirl Sounds delicious! But I don't know about the pumpkin shizzle. I've been using President's Choice steel cut oats. MMM! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 06.23.08 (9:46 am) Reply to: auntconi MMM! Your oatmeal sounds rich! I really like it right now with raisins and apple juice and a splash of cream! I am going to try to increase my oatmeal consumption! I think I had a dream last night that I was tooting...I guess farts must be on my mind lately! BWAHAHA posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 06.23.08 (11:48 am) Reply to: rosietulips I do now because I was experiencing sugar lows by noon without it. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 06.24.08 (10:04 pm) Reply to: bawdy I've been having oatmeal for dinner!! I made too much of it...Oatmeal aaaallll week! Some oatmeal and a protein shake makes a good breakfast for you and me! posted by: ggirl (reply) post date: 06.25.08 (12:35 pm) Ick! I loathe oatmeal. Excellent for you, though. What a lovely dream about your dad. I believe sometimes our loved ones truly visit us in our dreams. I don't have an opinion as to their issues with gas. ;-) posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 06.30.08 (9:05 am) Reply to: ggirl Maybe you need to try my oatmeal :D posted by: judypatooote (reply) post date: 06.30.08 (9:23 am) Oatmeal and dried cranberries....it's good for you and it tastes good too......What is with all your cooking?
