Sorry?
07.05.08 (1:00 pm)   [edit]

I have always found it really hard to forgive. How does one do it?? Someone may repeatedly say, "I'm sorry" to me, but often those words mean nothing to me. Well, might say "okay," but I still harbour a grudge. I hate to admit this, but it's true! It's like...why did you have to do something that required an apology in the first place?

I've decided that when my contract ends with my job, I'm going to travel cross-Canada by train! It's always been a desire of mine to go across Canada, and when my contract expires, my time off won't be limited.  Hopefully by then, my dad's estate will have settled and I will have a bit more money.

I hope your plans come to fruition.

Yup, hard to forgive. But I guess I prefer that over laying awake at night being pissed off at someone.

It depends on the intent and the transgression. It's hard to trust someone again after they've let you down. And certain things are unforgivable.

I hope my plans come into fruition, too! I love to travel :)

gfak! You're still around! I don't know why it's so hard to sleep when I'm angry. It sucks the big one!

I agree it's hard to trust someone after they've let me down. But aren't we supposed to be able to forgive anything and everything?

I can forgive, but it's the forgetting part I have problems with. heh.

How long would it take to go across Canada? And pardon my ignorance but what is there to see? lol I've seen a good deal of SK and honestly, wasn't that great! lol

Miss ya :) Oh, oh, oh you do know BB starts Sunday nite, right? I'm hoping I'll be back home, the man and myself are sneaking off to the beach this week--woooo hooo--gonna post about it, or try to, lol.

I think you could get across Canada in less than a week if you didn't stop, but there are lots of variations by train! You can make your journey in under two weeks, or you can get a pass where you can make 12 stops in 30 days. SK wouldn't be very exciting, that's for sure. The scenery gets more beautiful as you travel from east to west :)

YES! I can't wait for BB 10. That one sure crept up fast. I haven't read anything about the contestants! I will have to set my VCR since I will be out of town. UGH. It's another stagette. I started looking up updates on past houseguests. It is fun!

I am so envious of your upcoming beach trip!! Have fun!!

So when you travel across Canada by train, you would be heading East, right? If you get to my neck of the woods, so to speak, let me know and perhaps some of us can gather and meet for a 'bit of tea, or something', if you'd like!

I hear that the scenery gets better if you go from east to west, so I'd probably do that :) Where are you, auntconi??

I am in Grand Rapids, Michigan and if you get to Ontario, Sault Ste Marie ~ we could meet there if I had some time to know when you are 'headed to the area' ~ I am about 6-7 hours away, depending on how fast I drive, but I'd probably get a motel and spend some time in the area. I have family in the US Soo and I could just drive over the bridge!

And perhaps I can find some other tblog friends to join me.

not a problem ~ the year will go by before you know it ~ but it would be nice to meet if it is possible!

The train across Canada hasn't gone through the Soo in thirty years.

I think forgiveness has its limits.

Well, guess that shows how long it's been since I rode the train ~ duh!

It's probably healthier for you if you can forgive everything. That's a really hard goal to meet, though. Mostly, I try to remember that people are generally doing the best they can at any given moment. I mean, I know I am, but the best I can do sometimes isn't very good at all.

The other problem, though, is that apparently many people think that, if they apologize, they can continue on with the offensive behavior. All they have to do is apologize again. I don't tolerate that behavior.

Yay for time off and a trip!!!
