No cell phones!
07.08.08 (10:02 am)   [edit]

Yesterday, while I was getting gas I noticed the gas jockey on his cell phone while pumping gas for a customer.

Is there really a danger to using a cell phone near gas pumps?

There was a no cell phones sign on the pump, and he was also taking a personal call while serving a customer. I checked the gas station's Web site, and there is an email address. Since I have nothing better to do, I'm going to send them an email with a photo of the gas jockey on the phone and working. Yes, I snapped a photo. I wonder if the quality was any good. I wanted to be quick.

And I am falling behind on my TV watching. It is a sign there is too much going on. I didn't get a chance to watch last week's So You Think You Can Dance, and I won't be able to watch this week's either. I need a vacation.

It is apparently an urban legend about cell phones causing fires.

Yeah, I remember a video circulating a few years back but apparently that was just a freak accident. Even if it's not problem causing, it's not good customer service. Jeez.

I thought it was an urban legend, too, but why would gas stations put up "no cell phones" signs?!

The gas jockey was talking to his mom!
