Soooo hungry!

As soon as I do my usual workouts, I burn a lot more, and I am constantly hungry. I hadn't prepared very well for this increased hunger. And since I unexpectedly didn't go home last night, there was no food I could really grab to bring to work.

I hate being hungry!

As I get older, my palate has become more Asian, I think. Last night's dinner consisted of:

-steak (I had about 4 oz. max and that was more than enough. I hate chewing on steak. I don't know if it's the texture or flavour or what. Steak really bores me. But last night's steak was okay -- very tender and flavourless)

- carrots (I hate carrots, especially raw. I don't like the taste. And I probably hate them because they're not a green vegetable. I also got some funky allergic reaction to carrots (or something in the carrots) a few years back)

-salad (I hate salad, too. There is just not enough nutrition in lettuce. I like my vegetables cooked.)

-pasta salad and bread (tasty but I am trying to keep consumption of those kinds of carbs low)

Regardless of my palate, I will always disregard everything for dessert!! There was some delicious angel food cake with berries and whipped cream.

I hate carrots too...bleh. I dislike lettuce because of the lack of nutrition as well. I really like Asian food as well. I find the diet easier to digest because of low fat, low carb foods. I think the North American diet is kind of a mess!

I like raw carrots, hate them cooked. Eat your carrots. They're good for your vision. No wonder you are squinty eyed! :-p

...bland, corn-based and dripping with fat. I guess we are what we eat afterall! :)

I like my vegetables raw and dirty. Yeah real dirty. I love the crunching noise of them dirty, raw vegetables. Yeah, it makes me say, yum! And I tell them, come get some...yum. Cuz, I'm dirty like that.

**You know, I'm just not right.

Cooked carrots are bland. You admit as much by disguising the taste with brown sugar!

Q. Why does your body reject raw carrots but not cooked ones?

My body rejects cooked carrots, too! I had some soup that had carrots in it, and at that point, I knew carrots were the source of my demise! Cooked carrots take away that gross carrot taste!!
