Yum! Mouldy food!
07.26.08 (4:56 pm)   [edit]

When I was at Trader Joe's weeks ago, I bought their flatbread and Mediterranean hummus. They are delicious together. The hummus was sell by Aug 2, and the flatbread was sell by July 16. It's July 26...I decided to try the flatbread yesterday -- yummy! I wasn't sure if it was still good because of the way it looked, but I ate it anyway. Then today, I saw a spot of turquoise mould. Good bye, flatbread :(

And I am not sure of hummus' shelf life. I should look it. There are specks on the hummus, but I don't know if it's mould or a garnish? I thought I'd keep eating with some (crispy) flatbread I got from Costco, but that's quite old too. It even smells stale.

I had my first hypnotherapy session today. I'm not sure what I think. I went in with an open mind and now I am going to have to continue to believe. One of the books I read, there was a story about a man who had unexplained neck pain. When he revisited a past life, it turns out he was stabbed in the neck and killed. The hypnotherapist I saw said she had a client who had neck pain, and in a past life, he was hit by shrapnel. The thing with revisiting past lives is that when you revisit a negative situation, you relive that experience, and the negative energy that went with it dissipates.

In my first session, we worked on relaxing and my self-esteem. She says I didn't fall asleep, but sometimes I think I did.

you can freshen up the crispy flatbread by putting it in the microwave for a couple of minutes ~ if there is NO MOLD ON IT in the first place. You can also freshen crackers and tortilla chips that way ~ I do it all the time ~ even if they aren't stale, I just like the crunchier texture that it gives them ~ and if they are in a bit long and start to turn brown, that enhances the flavor.

Hummus probably has some other 'things' in it and it isn't mold ~ it has a sell by date of 8/2 ~ that is probably still good!

Good luck!

Sorry, I can't subscribe to the theory of reincarnation!

Rosie, Rosie, Rosie, if you keep eating mouldy bread and hummus, you will be the past life.....I do love flatbread, and I love hummus too....I had some really good flatbread that I just bought, it was with tomato and basil in it, but when I checked the date it was also outdated.....and I already ate one of them....and as I looked closer it was mouldy.....so I through it out....I don't think they have a very long shelf life...but I do keep mine in the frig..... judy

I will usually eat food if it may be past its expiry date unless it smells off. I seem to ahve this keen sense of smell! Yesterday I poured almost a whole jug of orange juice -- broke my heart!

I also threw out the hummus to be on the safe side :( Maybe I will get some more next weekend since I will actually be near a Trader Joe's!

That is okay :) Not everyone is a believer. I'll let you know if I think we knew each other in a past life. But then again I may not know since we've never seen each other face-to-face!

It's not like I want to eat mouldy food! BWAAHAHA I kept my flatbread in the fridge, too! But that only slows down the mould process.

How can we all have past lives if the population of the earth keeps increasing? There are billions more now than there were a century ago. Some of those have to be new souls.

I've wondered the same thing...but perhaps there isn't a finite number of souls...or maybe people are coming back sooner. My friend's last life was during WWII!!

I bet you were a dung beetle in one of your prior incarnations!

After our brief exchange, I Googled "where do souls come from" or something like that, and one person said souls can start off as other organisms that aren't advanced as humans!

So maybe I was a dung beetle :p

Did they provide evidence to back up that theory?

One can argue that you're still not as advanced as humans! heh

*ducks*
