posted by: sweetvampiress (reply) post date: 02.18.09 (12:45 pm) what is it in the products that scares you?? posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 02.18.09 (12:46 pm) I'm glad I have no similar effects from caffeine. Why do you have any if you know you'll regret it later? posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 02.18.09 (1:17 pm) Reply to: sweetvampiress There are a lot of manmade chemicals that I can't even pronounce! BWAHAHA Anyway, I looked up my favourite shampoo's ingredients, and the second ingredient was something that causes mutagenic effects on animals :-/ You can check out cosmeticsdatabase [dot]com to search for your stuff. Products are given a rating. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 02.18.09 (1:18 pm) Reply to: bawdy Sometimes the aftermath is worth it! Like if I am fighting off a migraine. And some things are so tasty! But I usually do avoid caffeine. posted by: sweetvampiress (reply) post date: 02.18.09 (1:29 pm) Reply to: rosietulips I am checking it out now!! thanks posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 02.18.09 (1:48 pm) Reply to: sweetvampiress Checking out that site has led me to looking up natural mineral makeup! I can't believe how many brands there are out there! posted by: sweetvampiress (reply) post date: 02.18.09 (2:08 pm) Reply to: rosietulips I just checked out my mineral makeup that i use and most of it is rated at 3.. I'll take that. highest is a 5. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 02.18.09 (2:29 pm) Reply to: sweetvampiress Are you still Bare Escentuals? I was going to try that one until I was reading up how some companies use bismuth oxychloride in their mineral makeup which may irritate some skin types. BE uses it so I'm going to try products without it. It is kind of scary how blush often has nasty ingredients! I love blush! posted by: sweetvampiress (reply) post date: 02.18.09 (3:28 pm) Reply to: rosietulips yes I still use BE I still think it is the best foundation. I haven't had a breakout since I started using it. I'm all about lipstick, and lip glosses. To me that just finishes the face, even if you don't where anything else. posted by: Ladyg (reply) post date: 02.18.09 (5:37 pm) The best way to go is natural, if you can find it. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 02.19.09 (9:51 am) Reply to: sweetvampiress I really ought to use my lip stuff more often. It takes me like a year or two to finish off a tube. I am just too lazy to put it in because I know it will come off really quickly! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 02.19.09 (9:52 am) Reply to: Ladyg I am definitely going as natural as possible as soon as I finish off my current products! posted by: Ladyg (reply) post date: 02.19.09 (10:01 am) Reply to: rosietulips, rosie you can check out the homemade cosmetic site, or the all natural comestics on google. |
