LOL!!!!!!! posted by: Ladyg (reply) post date: 06.16.09 (1:39 am) Rosie I am like you, It is amazing how much junk you can accumculate in a short period of time and you don't realize how much you have until it's time to move. Good luck with all the unpacking. I hate turning my oven cleaner on, it always seem like it's going to set the house on fire and I end up cutting it off early. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 06.16.09 (8:36 am) Reply to: PirateGirl I don't know how people move houses...I don't even remember all the moves I went through when I lived with my parents. My dad liked to live in a new house every 5 years or so that's how often we moved! Back then I only had to pack my bedroom... posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 06.16.09 (8:37 am) Reply to: Ladyg Thanks, Ladyg! I've definitely learned my lesson in that there are lots of things I buy that I don't need. I'm going to try to lead a more minimalist lifestyle from now on! And those self cleaning ovens can be so dangerous! At least you can turn yours off!! With mine, the door locks, and you can't shut off the oven! I wonder what my new oven is like... posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 06.16.09 (12:12 pm) It must be a huge relief now that your stuff is in your new place. What floor are you on? posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 06.16.09 (1:56 pm) Reply to: bawdy It is definitely a huge relief that my things are moved! I'm on the 8th floor - ah so lucky! I will be more relieved when the building operations' kinks get worked out. Yesterday I purposely blocked someone in because they parked in my parking spot. posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 06.17.09 (1:34 pm) Reply to: rosietulips 8th floor? And the caretaker suggested taking stuff up the stairs? posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 06.17.09 (1:49 pm) Reply to: bawdy Yes, 8th floor! And yes, he suggested I use the stairs! Brilliant idea! posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 06.18.09 (12:33 pm) Reply to: rosietulips It would be a good cardio workout...but hell on your back! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 06.19.09 (7:48 am) Reply to: bawdy Well, I had quite the stair workout yesterday since the elevator was down again. My legs need a good stretch today!! And hopefully by the time I get home the elevator will be working! |
