posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 07.03.09 (1:13 pm) I heart my pvr! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 07.03.09 (1:15 pm) Reply to: bawdy I think I will heart it, too! I just hope there are enough hours on the thing for meeeeee! posted by: barnabus1 (reply) post date: 07.03.09 (3:29 pm) I understand the new high definition cost about 3 times much to run, than the old TV! Have heard some complaints here, as light bills skyrocketed. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 07.03.09 (3:31 pm) Reply to: barnabus1 Is it really that much more costly!?! I always thought they were low energy! posted by: barnabus1 (reply) post date: 07.03.09 (8:33 pm) Negative!!! they don't even claim low energy!! Check em out at a store and see what they tell you! might be interesting!! posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 07.04.09 (12:57 pm) Reply to: rosietulips There is a lot of room. I've had over 40 movies recorded at once, although high definition programming can take up sizable chunks...a 2 hour plus movie from 10-13%, an hour long drama about 4%. Non hi-def movies take up 2-3%. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 07.04.09 (11:27 pm) Reply to: barnabus1 I think my TV did have a sticker claiming it was more energy efficient that the older TVs. Time will tell when I get my electricity bill! However, I have a lot more devices now that I use and I have been not as conscious about turning off lights!! I will be back to normal soon! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 07.04.09 (11:28 pm) Reply to: bawdy That is insane! I am afraid of running out of room! I guess I will have to make sure to be on top of my TV shows and stuff like that. posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 07.05.09 (12:44 pm) Reply to: rosietulips Mine has been between 80 and 100% full for months now and unable to whittle it down with the hockey playoffs on every night. Now I have two months to decrease it before football season! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 07.06.09 (9:51 am) Reply to: bawdy Isn't hockey over now?!? Big Brother starts this Saturday!! posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 07.06.09 (12:03 pm) Reply to: rosietulips Yeah, it ended in the middle of June and I still haven't managed to get my pvr below 80% full. Ack! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 07.06.09 (12:06 pm) Reply to: bawdy Sounds like it's time for another PVR! posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 07.07.09 (12:19 pm) Reply to: rosietulips Or I can start being more selective about which movies I record. Right now I watch just about every movie showing on both TMN and Super Channel. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 07.07.09 (12:32 pm) Reply to: bawdy I want to watch movies!! posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 07.08.09 (1:21 pm) Reply to: rosietulips Not enough free time? But I was determined. posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 07.09.09 (12:44 pm) Reply to: rosietulips I have trouble trying to fend off sleeping while watching on hot summer days. It saps your energy. posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 07.09.09 (2:18 pm) Reply to: bawdy I fall asleep in movie theatres often...I always need to make sure I'm not sleepy if I go! posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 07.10.09 (12:27 pm) Reply to: rosietulips Bring a tack to sit on! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 07.13.09 (12:28 pm) Reply to: bawdy All I need is a nudge! posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 07.14.09 (1:00 pm) Reply to: rosietulips How about a goose instead? posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 07.14.09 (1:47 pm) Reply to: bawdy Like the bird??? posted by: bawdy (reply) post date: 07.15.09 (12:08 pm) Reply to: rosietulips No, the kind that takes you by surprise and makes you jump! posted by: rosietulips (reply) post date: 07.15.09 (12:57 pm) Reply to: bawdy I've not heard that term before!
