There were people let go today...one of them was my boss (the best boss I ever had) and someone else in my group who's mentored me a lot. They were both with the company for 10 years. I wonder if they're getting rid of the Documentation team. Now we're at 2 writers and 1 architect. We can't work like this. I have no boss either. I wonder if I am next. The last time we had layoffs, I thought I was a goner. I could cry. My head is killing me. Maybe they'll continue with the head chopping in the morning tomorrow instead of doing it in the afternoon. :cry: |

Hope you got to leave early to clear your head. Nothing sucks more than watching your mentors get the axe...and without reason. Oye.

*knock wood. I've survived layoffs before and it's hard on those who leave and it's hard on those who stay.
I also hate when they say "there are going to be 15% layoffs in 6 weeks. we'll keep you posted" -- so now everybody looks at each other for 6 weeks, wondering!
UGH. Hang in there!
