My new glasses...are definitely going to need replacement. I brought them in, and nobody working at the optician could see the scratches. Both lenses have scratches, but the ones on the left take over the whole lense. I should have mentioned the right one, too. It seems like the lenses cracked when they were put into the frame or something. I don't know. All I know is that there are LOTS of very, very faint cracks/scratches in the lenses that can only be seen in certain lighting. *sigh* Today I put on a lot of eye make up. My eyes disappear when I wear glasses. The only way to combat that is to wear eye makeup. But when I'm not wearing my glasses, I can't see well enough to put on eye make up well!! I have a mirror that magnifies to about 7x, and that is not really enough. So I just kind of guess and stumble through. *sigh* Practice makes perfect, I guess. I'm kind of in a grumpy mood today. I don't like that!! And I am freezing cold!! |

I would soooo love to have good vision...alas, I will live with contacts and glasses. I don't trust laser surgery at all!!

There's this special coating you can get on your glasses now, either for scratch or for glare resistance. DON'T GET IT. I've had lasik surgery now, but my last pair of glasses had that coating on it, and they were NEVER clean.

When did you get your lasik surgery?? How was the recovery process?? I am using Nikon V lenses for my glasses...I have no idea what coatings are on it!!

My LASIK process first started last year, fall I think. I've had one enhancement since then. I'm pretty happy with the results. I was as blind as a bat before. Now, I can see okay. I still can't rub my eyes, though. I think you can't do that for like, 6 months. Otherwise, your liable to mess up your eyes again. That's okay, because you can buy the artificial tears to get rid of any irritation in your eyes.
